2012 -3rd Floor Fundraising Campaign

"Never Shall I Forget"

To honor the U.S.-Dakota War of 1862 history, we are planning a new Dakota War exhibit for the entire third floor of the museum "Never Shall I Forget". Hundreds of artifacts, photographs, stories, and images—many never exhibited before—will be used to tell the story of the war.  When finished, it will offer the most detailed and balanced interpretation of the war available in our state.

The exhibit will include a large interactive touch screen featuring more than 1,000 photographs and biographies of individuals with ties to Brown County who were  involved in the 1862 battles, a re-creation of the Erd basement, an example of a German home and a native American tipi, pod-casts of the art work of the war and more.

We need your help to realize our remaining goal of $75,000.  Now we ask you to become a part of this important, new project with a tax deductible contribution to the Brown County Historical Society. Click Here for a brochure explaining and showing what will go on 3rd floor.

Your help is greatly appreciated!
